Xstrata's H1 FeCr output up, copper and nickel down [UPDATE]

(Updates, adding vanadium and precious metals production) Xstrata posted record first-half ferro-chrome and lead output but production fell for contained copper, contained nickel and zinc. First-half ferro-chrome production grew 3% year-on-year to a record 615,000 tonnes on new capacity including the new Lion new smelter, although gains were capped by reduced output in South Africa due to the power shortage. But contained nickel output fell 6% to 26,610 tonnes on lower mine grades...
