(AMM) PCC set to buy pipe fittings producer Hackney Ladish

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC), whose two latest acquisitions were in aerospace, is set to enter the energy fittings market with the purchase of Hackney Ladish Inc.

Portland, Ore.-based PCC's buy of Dallas-based Hackney Ladish, which produces forged carbon, alloy and chrome steel pipe fittings in Russellville, Ark., and Enid, Okla., for use in energy infrastructure and related applications, will mark its third purchase this year.
