China eyes Australian rare earths

East China Exploration to invest US$15.9m. in Australia’s rare earths producer Arafura

 

ECE seems to be particularly interested in Arafura’s Nolans rare earths-phosphate-uranium project in Nothern Territory. As the Australian company explained, the ECE capital injection will ensure that Arafura has the cash to progress its feasibility work for the Nolans project this year. “ECE will then assist us in project financing for mining and processing for the Nolans project,” said Arafura’s chairman, Ian Laurance.
