Acid grade fluorspar prices dip, but further major drop unexpected as market steadies

Leading consumers of fluorspar have told IM that prices of acid grade fluorspar (Chinese wet filtercake, FOB China) for bulk contracts have declined to $280-300/tonne from a published range of $510-530/tonne at the start of the year.

Prices for South African fluorspar stand at $230-300/tonne, down from an average range of $330-350/tonne (FOB Durban) over the same period.
