(AMM) TMK Ipsco planning to finish $200M capacity boost in '09

TMK Ipsco plans to complete this year a $200-million capital investment program aimed at boosting finishing capacity, according to an e-mail from the company to AMM.

The confirmation came after a Russian media outlet reported that Bloomberg had written that OAO TMK chairman Dmitry Pumpyansky said TMK planned to invest $200 million at its U.S. pipe mills in 2009.
