Goa's iron ore exports may fall this year

Iron ore exports from Goa, a major source of iron ore in India, are likely to fall this fiscal year due to higher taxes and lower demand and prices, said a spokesman at Goan Mineral Ore Exporters’ Assn.

Goa, which is major source of lower-grade Indian fines for export, shipped around 12.5 million tonnes its Mormugoa and Panjim ports in April-August, same as in the previous year. It will be difficult for exports to top the record 45 million...
