Chinese HDG export prices remain high

Chinese hot-dipped galvanized export prices have stayed high due to strong domestic prices and better overseas demand.

Export offers for 1mm hot-dipped galvanized coil at about $720 per tonne fob, for April shipments, little changed last month. Transaction were healthy with most traders confident of clinching contracts at 700-710 per tonne fob. Most exporters were reporting business from end-users in South America and Europe.
