Chinese FeCr prices rise as stainless mills lift bids

Chinese ferro-chrome prices are moving higher after the Chinese New Year holiday, with producers raising offers as stainless mills accept higher prices for March deliveries.
Higher chrome ore prices, a healthier ferro-chrome market overseas, and improving stainless steel demand are all supporting factors, market participants said.
High-carbon ferro-chrome traded at 8,300-8,500 yuan ($1,215-1,245) per tonne in China’s spot market this week, up 300-400 yuan per tonne or around 4%from before the week-long holiday.
