(AMM) Breakwater mineral reserves increase 7.6%

Breakwater Resources Ltd.'s proven and probable mineral reserves increased 7.6 percent last year to an estimated 18.5 million tonnes grading 6.7-percent zinc.

The increase was driven primarily by a 56.5-percent jump in mineral reserves at its El Mochito zinc-lead mine in northwest Honduras to nearly 3.9 million tonnes grading 5-percent zinc and 2.4-percent lead as of Dec. 31, 2009.
