Xstrata reaches tentative agreement with Sudbury's clerical and technical staff

Xstrata has reached a tentative agreement for a new wage deal with the United Steelworkers (USW) union Local 2020, which represents clerical and technical employees at the company’s Sudbury nickel operations in Canada, it said on Monday.
The previous agreement expired at midnight on February 28.
“This tentative agreement presents an offer to the union membership that both bargaining committees believe is fair and equitable,” Marc Boissonneault, vp of Xstrata’s Sudbury operations, said in a statement.
