Indian ferrous prices shot up again this week and, as finished products prices increased, buyers accepted prices of $400 per tonne for scrap, merchants said
Shredded material traded at $390-410 per tonne cfr Nhava Sheva, up from $370-385 per tonne last week.
Offer prices rose even higher, market participants said.
“The international scrap market is on fire. The EU and US scrap suppliers are now asking for $415-425 per tone cfr Nhava Sheva for shredded in containers,” an Indian importer...
