Turks pay $40 more for ferrous scrap as demand revives

Turkish mills have been forced to pay more for ferrous scrap as demand improved, market participants said.

Mini-mills bought at least ten deep-sea cargoes from UK, EU and US suppliers. Cargoes of HMS 1&2 (80:20 mix) sold for $381-390 per tonne cfr this week, up from $345-350 last week.
