North American aluminum mill product demand rebounded somewhat in February from a weak January but orders were still not at the same levels seen at the end of 2009, according to seasonally adjusted figures calculated by Davenport & Co. LLC using data from the Aluminum Association.
February orders were up 5.2 percent from the previous month, and after stripping out the impact of can sheet?a less-cyclical product?orders were up 9.9 percent. ...
