Chinese high-carbon ferro-chrome prices increased 3% this week on high ore costs and firm overseas ferro-chrome prices
Trading was slim as many downstream buyers remained on the sidelines due to uncertainty in the market and thin margins.
High-carbon ferro-chrome was trading at 8,600-8,800 yuan ($1,258-1,287) per tonne duty paid delivered in China’s spot market this week, up from 8,400-8,500 yuan per tonne previously.
