China should cancel export taxes and allow toll trading of indium to tackle smuggling and help domestic refineries compete overseas, said Sun Lihui, deputy manager of China Minmetals Imports and Exports Chamber.
“China's indium industry depends heavily on exports, but due to tax pressures, exports have fallen sharply in recent years,” Sun said at the World Indium Forum 2010, hosted by Asian Metal in Beijing.
