(AMM) Ferrochrome up on strong demand

Ferrochrome prices in the U.S. spot market inched higher over the past week on strong demand from stainless steel makers, although high prices and end-user stocks are limiting buying interest in other ferroalloys, market participants said.
High-carbon ferrochrome in the U.S. spot market are in a range of $1.34 to $1.37 per pound vs. $1.34 to $1.36 previously, while low-carbon ferrochrome is unchanged at $2.45 to $2.50 per pound for 0.05-percent material, $2.15 to $2.20 per pound for 0.10-percent metal and $2.10 to $2.15 per pound for 0.15-percent material.
