Japan Al premiums likely to fall further in Q3

Japanese contract aluminium premiums are likely to fall further in the third quarter, said market participants ahead of negotiations next week.
Contract premiums for the next quarter will reflect current spot premiums of $118-120 per tonne, market participants agreed.
Premiums had also fallen in the second quarter, mostly settling at $120-125 per tonne due to large stock volumes and moderate demand (MB Mar 15).
"In my opinion, the premiums will be a bit lower than the second quarter, between $115 and $120," a Japanese consumer told MB.
