Magnesia and alumina prices on the rise; zircon price hikes scheduled

 

Fused magnesia prices are climbing with prices reaching even higher this week, with indications much as $1,050/tonne for top grades, up another $50/tonne.

Meanwhile, dead burned magnesite prices are closer to $390-400/tonne for 90% MgO FOB China, but again indications have come in as high as $475/tonne showing that prices could have further to rise this week.

 

The same uncertain situation is also facing fused alumina buyers, with prices rising at the moment. Nobody is clear quite how high they will go. White fused alumina prices are...
