CIS pig iron prices have continued to fall amid stagnant demand and lower scrap prices, market participants said

Demand is at a low level, and while some producers were forced to cut production due to higher costs - iron ore in particular - and lower their sale prices, others have had to dramatically cut offers in order to sell any material at all. Trading is thin, although MB heard of Russian basic material being sold at $418-430...
