Shanghai copper recovery takes a rest on import data

Shanghai copper futures fell in Monday's morning session after preliminary customs data revealed a 17% drop in June imports of unwrought copper and copper fabricated products.
October copper on the Shanghai Futures Exchange ended at 53,500 yuan ($7,903) per tonne in the morning session, down 130 yuan or 0.2% from opening.
October aluminium also lost 25 yuan to end at 14,960 yuan per tonne, while zinc edged down by 10 yuan to reach 15,365 yuan per tonne.
