ArcelorMittal USA's Vinton, Texas, mill has taken another step toward obtaining a revised air permit.
"ArcelorMittal Vinton is seeking an amendment to its air permit to correct errors in the permitting representations used by predecessor companies," a company spokeswoman told AMM Monday, adding that representations made under former ownership, "including characteristics of production capacity and emissions, were inaccurate in the previous permit."
