Brazilian iron ore exports up 20% in H1 despite lower Chinese purchases

Brazil has exported a total of 141.1 million tonnes of iron ore in the six first months of 2010, a 20% increase from the 117.3 million tonnes exported in the corresponding period of 2009
The increase came even though Chinese mills decreased their purchases by 17 million tonnes inthe same period, according to figures from Brazil’s foreign trade ministry calculated by MB.
