Rusal splits alumina and aluminium divisions by geography

Rusal has introduced separate alumina and aluminium divisions based on geographical location under a restructuring that has also created two new directorates, the company announced on Monday

The alumina and aluminium divisions have been split into east and west, while the new directorates will focus on sales and production development, the company said. "The goal of the changes in the company's organisational structure is to increase efficiency of the business by focusing the company's subdivisions on very specific and well defined objectives, improving management processes and ensuring the company can quickly respond to changes in the market situation," Rusal said.
