Secondary aluminium prices in the UK were unchanged on Wednesday as spot buying dried up amid market uncertainty and northern summer shutdowns.
LM24 pressure die-casting ingot was stable at £1,570-1,600 ($2,393-2,439) per tonne and LM6/LM25 gravity die-casting ingot continued to trade at £1,800-1,850 per tonne.
“Everybody is just looking to see what will happen. The situation on the London Metal Exchange is confusing everyone,” a producer source told MB.
Aluminium alloy prices on the LME have exceeded primary aluminium prices...
