Activity picks up in European secondary Al market

The European secondary aluminium market has noted increased activity in recent weeks on the back of tight supply, movements on the London Metal Exchange and strong demand

Duty paid DIN 226 prices increased to €1,860-1900 ($2,417-2,469) per tonne on Friday from $1,810-1890 per tonne previously. “The market is much more active; we’ve seen a sharp movement up to €1,900 per tonne,” an Italian producer, who reported sales between €1,840-1860 per tonne a week previously, told MB.
