LME resolves third-party Select price feed problems

The London Metal Exchange has resolved the problems it was having feeding price data from its electronic trading platform Select to third-party suppliers
“Investigation has now shown the outages to be infrastructure-related and a resolution has now been put in place. No further outages are anticipated but we continue to monitor the situation closely,” an LME spokesman told MB on Thursday.
The exchange had been experiencing temporary outages in its market data dissemination feed of select prices to data providers such as Reuters and Bloomberg over recent weeks.
“These outages meant that for brief periods some traders were unable to receive prices from LMEselect. We regret any inconvenience caused,” the spokesman said.
The outages generally occurred a few hours after Select opened at 1am UK time.
The last problem took place on Wednesday morning, one source told MB.
