Taiyuan Steel agrees 85,000 tpy ferro-nickel jv in Burma

Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co has agreed with China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group Co (CNMC) to jointly develop the 85,000 tpy Tagaung Taung ferro-nickel project in Burma.

Tagaung Taung will be the largest mining project between China and Burma when it starts operation in 2011, said Taiyuan Steel. Under the agreement, Taiyuan Steel will inject capital into project operator CNMC Nickel Co, which will be renamed CNMC Tisco...
