Mixed fortunes this week, as cerium and lanthanum oxide prices power ahead

 

Different grades of fused alumina have mixed pricing indications going into Q3. Material going into the refractories industry such as brown fused alumina, 95% Al2O3 min, refractory sized is indicated at $620-680/tonne, down slightly from $630-700/tonne in Q2. In contrast, brown fused alumina, 95.0% min Al2O3, FEPA 8-220 grit destined for the abrasives sector has seen the bottom end of the range firm to $710-760/tonne FOB China....
