Tonawanda Coke Corp., Tonawanda, N.Y., and one of its managers are facing a 20-count federal indictment related to alleged environmental violations.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency indictment names the company and its environmental manager, Mark Kamholz, according to the Buffalo (N.Y.) News.
The indictment, returned by a grand jury Thursday, charges Tonawanda Coke with violations of the Clean Air Act ranging from improper storage of hazardous waste and attempting to conceal the improperly stored waste from EPA investigators to various emissions violations. An arraignment hearing is set for Tuesday in the U.S. District Court in Buffalo.
