China Metal Recycling doubles profit as volumes expand

China Metal Recycling, the country’s largest scrap supplier, said its net profit more than doubled in the first half as its throughput of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap surged.

Net profit rose to HK$419.8, up 122%, as sales volumes of steel scrap nearly tripled and non-ferrous scrap volumes rose by more than a third.
