REs still rocketing, magnesia & alumina rises; Q4 talks for chromite and potash

Price increases are being realised for US refractory and electrical grades of fused magnesia.  Refractory grade fused magnesia, 98% MgO, lump, is at $1,000-1,900/tonne, FOB USA, which is up around 7% at the top end of the range. Meanwhile, the US price range for electrical grade fused magnesia is slightly higher, with a 10% increase to the top of the range to $2,800/tonne from 2,500/tonne, ex-works, USA.Chromite contract negotiations are underway for the fourth quarter, with South African suppliers looking for further...
