Russia's Evraz Group SA, which has steel plate and tube manufacturing operations in North America, narrowed its first-half net loss by nearly 73 percent as revenue grew 37.5 percent.

The steelmaker posted a net loss of $270 million on revenue of $6.38 billion for the six months ended June 30 vs. a year-earlier net loss of $999 million on revenue of $4.64 billion.
