Libya’s state-owned Libyan Iron and Steel Co (Lisco) will direct the majority of its hot rolled coil and hot briquetted iron production to southern Europe and the Mena region supported by healthy demand, according to senior metals analyst at Metal Bulletin Research Mark Beveridge
“Hot rolled coil and HBI exports have been, and are likely to remain a feature of Lisco’s strategy,” said Beveridge at a workshop in Misurata, Libya, on investment opportunities in the Libyan iron and steel industry.
