Cadmium prices retreated on Wednesday as traders in Europe achieved cheaper sales from Asian sources
Rotterdam-basis 4N cadmium was priced at $1.35-$1.60 per lb on Wednesday, from $1.45-$1.70 per lb previously, while 3N5 cadmium retreated to $1.30-$1.55 per lb, from $1.40-$1.65 per lb.
Prompt material in Asia was booked at $1.35 per lb this week, but prospects for strong sales are limited, according to a European trader.
