China antimony prices slide in 'horrible' market

Chinese antimony prices lost almost 8% of their value this week amid sluggish demand, with the market expected to remain subdued in the coming months due to the European summer lull, market participants said
MMTA standard grade II antimony ingot fell to 83,000-87,000 yuan ($12,830-13,450) per tonne in the Chinese market this week, compared with above 90,000 yuan per tonne last week.
“This is horrible; prices are falling so quickly and buyers are so few,” a trader in eastern China said.
