Trinity Industries Inc. has bought privately owned hot-dip galvanizer Texas Galvanizing Inc. for an undisclosed sum in a move aimed at expanding its galvanizing capacity.
Dallas-based Trinity does some in-house galvanizing for its products but wants to expand its capacity, AMM understands. "They own in-house galvanizing and wanted to expand that," the source said.
Trinity makes rail cars as well as axles, highway guardrail and crash cushions, structural wind towers, propane tanks...
