Officials from Ruukki South Africa will seek to renew merger talks with certain members of the board of International Ferro Metals (IFM) at the Mining Indaba in February.
Ruukki SA and IFM board members will be attending the conference in Cape Town next month to discuss a possible merger in the form of a share swap, a source close to the dealings told Metal Bulletin.
“It is a good opportunity for Ruukki to renew talks with IFM,” the source said.
People close to the two companies told Metal Bulletin last year that Ruukki is looking to merge IFM with its operations....
