US lead scrap prices on the rise

Stronger terminal markets have pushed up lead scrap prices by as much as six cents a pound from early December levels, according to scrap consumers and sellers.
Meanwhile, power cable lead scrap tags moved up to between 81 and 83 cents per pound from a prior range of 75 to 78 cents per pound.
The increase in secondary lead tags followed a strong rise in primary lead prices over the past few weeks.
