Maruichi Steel to build tube mill in Mexico on promising auto market

Japan’s Maruichi Steel Tube has announced the establishment of a steel tube mill in Aguascalientes state, central Mexico, to capitalise on the growing Mexican automotive industry.
The unit, scheduled to come on-stream at the end of 2012, will be capable of producing 12,000 tpy of steel tubes, a volume that could be increased in the long-term.
The investment is pegged at $10 million.
