Brazil’s port of Tubarao receives first Vale mega-ore carrier

Brazilian mining major Vale docked the Vale Rio de Janiero, one of a fleet of 400,000-tonne mega-ore carriers ordered by the miner, at the port of Tubarao in southern Brazil for the first time on Tuesday January 31, the miner said in a statement.
The docking of this vessel marks the first stage in Vale’s project in Espírito Santo state to accommodate the world’s largest ore carriers.
