Chrome ore suppliers push Chinese buyers for higher prices

Some overseas producers and traders are touting higher chrome ore prices to Chinese buyers, sensing that demand could improve now the Chinese New Year festivities have finished.
Offers for chrome ore rose by around $5-10 per tonne when compared with pre-holiday levels, with Turkish lumpy 42% at $260-285 per tonne and South African powder 42% at $200-210 per tonne, both on cif China basis, according to traders.
