Antam targets 18,000 tonnes of ferro-nickel output in 2012

Indonesia’s Aneka Tambang (Antam) has set a production target of 18,000 tonnes of ferro-nickel in 2012, 9% lower than its actual output in 2011.
This year’s lowered production target is due to the scheduled overhaul of its ferro-nickel smelter, the 6,000-tpy FeNi II, in the first three months of 2012, Antam said in a statement.
Antam’s two other smelters, the 5,500-tpy FeNi I, and the 15,000-tpy FeNi III, will be operating normally.
