Rusal takes 100% of fluorspar supplier Yaroslavsk

United Co Rusal has agreed to buy the 50% of Yaroslavsk Mining that it does not already own for an undisclosed fee, the company said on Thursday February 2.
Yaroslavsk, at present 50%-owned by Russian Mining, is the sole producer and supplier of fluorspar concentrate in Russia. Fluorspar concentrate is used in the production of aluminium fluoride, which in turn is used in the dissolution of alumina during the aluminium production process.
