EU ministers extend molybdenum wire anti-dumping duty to Malaysia

Illicit imports into Europe of cut-price China-made molybdenum wire are being choked off by new anti-dumping duties of 64.3% that now apply to exports of the product from Malaysia.

The EU Council of Ministers has been convinced that a sudden upsurge in molybdenum wire exports from Malaysia to the EU – which increased from nothing in 2009 to six tonnes between April 2010 and March 2011...
