US silicomanganese prices up on supply tightness

U.S. silicomanganese prices have strengthened further on the back of robust spot business, with additional gains potentially looming due to a short supply of material.

Prices have firmed to between 57 and 59 cents per pound from 56 to 58 cents previously, with significant business being done in the new range.

Prices could rise further as traders scramble for material and following an increase in selling prices...
