Guinea has started an overhaul of its mining code in a bid to ensure its people benefit from the development of its mining industry, the country’s mining minister, Mohamed Lamine Fofana, told delegates at the Mining Indaba conference in Cape Town on Tuesday February 7.
Fofona said the revision of the code centred around five key reforms and that all mining companies active in the West African nation would be affected.
