Indian shredded scrap prices weaken again on softer US export markets

Prices for shredded ferrous scrap imported into India weakened slightly on Tuesday February 7, as US exporters lowered their offer prices to entice more trade, market participants told Metal Bulletin.
Import prices fell to $460-470 per tonne cfr Nhava Sheva for shredded material in containers, from $465-470 cfr last week.
HMS 1&2 prices were unchanged at $440-450 per tonne cfr Nhava Sheva.
An influx of US material has undermined import prices from other regions into India, market participants said.
