Rio Tinto will invest a further $3.4 billion in its iron ore expansion project in Western Australia, to meet strong demand from China.
The company aims to boost iron ore operation capacity in the Pilbara region from 225 million tpy to 286 million tpy in the second half of 2013, Rio Tinto said on Wednesday.
