Chinese rebar and wire rod prices continue to fall on Wednesday February 8 after crude steel output rose in late January and more steelmakers reduced their ex-works prices.
Spot rebar prices in Beijing were in the range 4,080-4,220 yuan ($648-670) per tonne, down 20 yuan from Tuesday; those in Guangzhou and Shanghai were also 20-30 yuan lower at 4,320-4,640 yuan and 4,100-4,310 yaun per tonne respectively.
Spot wire rod prices in Guangzhou fell 10-20 yuan from Tuesday to 4,220-4,420 yuan per tonne, while those in Beijing were 10-20 yuan lower at 3,980-4,090 yuan per...
