Pat Christopher to head Schnitzer recycling

A new team has been established to replace the top executive at Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc.’s Metals Recycling Business (MRB), who is quietly stepping down from his post.

The Portland, Ore.-based company has selected Pat Christopher, chief operating officer of MRB, to lead a team that will include Alter Goldstein, vice president of ferrous sales, MRB; Jim Devine, vice president of nonferrous sales, MRB; David Mendez, vice president and chief financial officer of divisional operations; and Warren Jennings, Northeast regional director at MRB.
